Pedrini began in 1942 when Giuseppe Pedrini founded the PPL snc at Lumezzane in a local industrial metal working context of Italy. Thanks to the tenacious entrepreneur the PPL snc evolved quickly from an artisan enterprise into an Industry.
Now days Pedrini became an Italian firm that has set itself in the world thanks to innovative product and original ideas, but it's hard to understand it without talking of its beginning, especially if you don't mention the corkscrew with the two levers. Giuseppe Pedrini invented the first corkscrew with the two levers an instrument that not only modify the way of uncork bottles in the whole world, but has also become an object used daily by every family. Pedrini was founded as a craft enterprise but already in the 60ties assumed industrial dimension and became leader in the production of utensils and gadgets in the kitchen.
In the 60s
In the following 60’s a small craft firm evolved into industrial reality thanks to a technological plant in continual expansion and evolution. In 1967 the utensils line called Lillo began the first line of coordinated kitchen utensils, the absolute star of this line was the spaghetti server Lillo that is still produced today.
In the 70’s and 80’s strong innovative ideas of Italian products and the real attention for quality, gives to the Pedrini company years of growth development and also the consolidation into the markets abroad.
The 90’s are the period of the maximum development thanks to products quality, to the design and the innovative applied as much to the products development as to communication.
In 1990 the Pedrini company launched Zick, a universal cleaner with integrated an automatic dispenser allowing a 75% of saving of washing up liquid. In 1994 Spiriloso was launched, an innovative product that allaw to measure out and suck in one time, a valid kitchen aid and not only.
After nearly 70 years of corporate commitment dedicated to quality and to customers satisfaction the company obtain the certification UNI EN ISO 9002 from the bureau Veritas Quality international office.
In 2002 the Wine & Bar line was launched. Thanks to the strategic collaboration with the Martini was created a professional line of elegant and functional barware, Pedrini also conquered the American market.
In 2005 Lillote was introduced, the first mold in pure silicone for food designed for easy short-time cooking.
In 2007 Pedrini signed a partnership with Lifetime Brands (KitchenAid Farbeware Cusinaart Calvin Klein) for penetration into the American market. Studio Pedrini is the first coordinated multi category line composed of utensils, baking lines, cutters, knives, coffee-makers introduced by Pedrini.
In 2008 from an exclusive Pedrini Idea, was launched the Eco line. This line reflects Pedrini's philosophy of being close to protecting the environment. The utensils of the eco line, are in fact, totally biodegradable with a special composition of polymers at the moment of disposal.
Still in the same year the first lines of Pedrini cookware, the Vanilla and Ardesia line, both with no-stick ceramic coating.
In 2010 Pedrini reinforced the presence in the coffee making sector, increasing the proposal of models and introducing Sei Moka the first coffee-maker entirely projected and designed by Pedrini, an excellent mix of design, of quality and ergonomics.
In 2011 the new Dolci line was launched with more than 160 specific articles all for the preparation and baking of desserts.
The most innovative article is certainly "il Pennovo" a pen for easy writing and decorating your own desserts.
In 2012 seeing the success of the "Dolci line" a new and further bakeware line come to be introduced thereby adding articles and accessories for bakeware.
In 2014 new important commercial agreements for the distribution of the cookware trade and thanks to these Pedrini introduced five new lines of cookware into the market, some with a coating in stone.
Friends & Fun and Lillo Next are the two new stars’ items of 2015, with the first Pedrini review of historical line Wine and Bar with the key concept of being younger and also of widening the proposal of the scope of the aperitif, with the second renewal of the entire Lillo line.
In 2016, Pedrini launched Super Blades a completely new line of graters, produced with technical etching, and its first new stainless-steel coffee-maker Steel Moka adapted to the induction hobs.
In 2017, after continually increasing its presence in the knives trade, introducing new knives with ceramic blades and two new lines of table knives and steak knives. Pedrini introduced knives of the Master series with triple blades sharpening and non slip ergonomic handles that complete the proposal of Pedrini cutlery which today count more than 112 articles.
